Customers who lease parking spaces downtown Cranbrook are reminded that effective July 1, monthly parking fees will begin to be collected after a three-month hiatus.

Customers who visit businesses downtown are also reminded that payment to use metered on street parking spots also resumes July 1.

Council made the decision to waive lease fees for downtown off-street parking and suspended the need for payment at all metered parking spots in April, to help reduce the financial burden on residents who work downtown and may have had work hours reduced or were laid off due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The cost of a monthly parking stall downtown is $35 plus tax per month.
