PEAK Music a perfect grand finale

The 2019 ‘PEAK’ Music Festival located in downtown Cranbrook’s Rotary Park, hosted by Fisher Peak Performing Arts Society, earmarked the grand finale of the weekly concert series Summer Sounds & Dancing in the Park.

Thousands of people of all ages gathered across the two days for over 20 hours of music August 30 and 31, ranging from folk to rock to the “high octane funk” headliner, Five Alarm Funk (pictured). Attendees enjoyed local food trucks, art exhibits, merchandise, face paint, a photo booth, and of course, beer gardens.

Among the other performers were The Confluentials, Leather Apron Revival, Band of Brothers, Sax Drive, The Few, Mistmatched Socks, Velle, Usual Suspects and Baker Street Blues.

Performing Arts BC also took the opportunity to announce that Cranbrook will be the host city of the Provincial Festival 2020, set to bring hundreds of musicians aged 10 to 28 with their friends and families to the city for a five-day event featuring a variety of classes, lectures, workshops and coaching opportunities.
