On Wednesday, March 26, from 10 a.m.- 2 p.m., Abreast in the Rockies Dragon Boat Team will be selling pink mittens in the lobby of East Kootenay Regional Hospital (EKRH).

All proceeds will go to support oncology care in the East Kootenay.

Abreast in the Rockies is a non-profit society that began in 2006. They are a wonderful group of breast cancer survivors and supporters, ranging in age from the 40s-80s who fundraise to support breast cancer and oncology improvements in the East Kootenay.

All funds raised by them stay local – over the years they have contributed more than $80,000 towards everything from furniture in oncology, the digital mammogram unit, and specialized equipment!
