A 26-year-old Cranbrook resident is being charged with possessing a prohibited weapon after being located in a local bar with a set of brass knuckles.

Early Friday morning (June 16), Cranbrook RCMP was approached by a concerned citizen who advised there was a male inside a local bar in possession of a set of brass knuckles. The citizen described the male, and officers were able to identify him inside the establishment.

RCMP arrested the male with minimal incident. While searching members located a set of brass knuckles. The male was released from custody with a court date in August, reported Cst. Katie Forgeron of Cranbrook RCMP.
