In case you were wondering what is happening with the Rockies Film Festival and Series? Here is your answer.

For the first time in our history we are looking at a year without being able to bring quality cinema to our audience. Of course, we are saddened by our inability to do so.

However, there are compelling reasons why this is so. Firstly, and above all else, we wish to keep our audience safe and healthy.

As well, Key City Theatre is currently undergoing renovations and while those may be done shortly before Christmas, it is not clear when they will be able to open the doors and when they do what restrictions will be necessary to keep audience numbers low and thereby safe.

Lastly the Toronto International Film Festival – Film Circuit with whom we arrange all of our screenings are presently not providing programming support nor have they provided a current film release schedule from which we would normally select our films.

It is looking at what is possible with the TIFF digital platform and hope to have more information regarding Film Circuit engagement on the digital front soon.
