Rotary revamping fundraising with Feb. 14 gala
For over 50 years the Rotary Club of Cranbrook has held an annual Radio Auction to raise funds for community causes but this year the club has decided to change things up.
“While this event has been very successful, providing funding for many projects in the community, such as Rotary Way and the washrooms in Rotary park, we have decided that it is time for a change,” Rotary noted on Facebook.
“The inaugural Valentine’s Day Gala will be an elegant evening where we celebrate our accomplishments and raise money for future community projects.”
Plans for the February 14 gala include a four-course, wine paired meal, signature cocktails, music, a photo opportunity and live and silent auctions.
Rotary stated it hopes this event will be “the place to be with your sweetheart on Valentine’s Day in 2020 and for the next 50 years!”
The Heart of the Community Valentine’s Day Gala is Friday, February 14 from 6 – 11 p.m. at the Royal Alexandra Hall.
