Grease up your facial handlebar, make sure you’ve got your button for fear of being jailed and please take cabs or walk this weekend as the annual Sam Steele Days festivities get underway Thursday (June 14) and run through to Sunday, June 17.

Launching the festival again this year is the Tamarack Centre Kick-Off Pancake Breakfast and BBQ from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

And from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. is the Friends of the Cranbrook Library Kick-Off BBQ.

Friday to Sunday is full of things to see, eat and do but Saturday, June 16 is the epi-centre of the weekend, including the St. Eugene Golf Resort and Casino Sam Steele Days Grand Parade, beginning at 10:30 a.m. and rolling to noon, with a plethora of events to follow in downtown Cranbrook and nearby Balement Park.
