Spring break is coming; are you ready?

By Felicity Youngward

Spring break for the kids is coming up; do you have a plan?

If not, I have some suggestions for you to keep the kids busy and engaged. Depending on our weather you may be able to break out the bikes or take the sleds out for a slide.

Free or cheap

Idlewild Park, Elizabeth Lake, Rotary Trail, NorthStar Rails-to-Trails, Cranbrook Community Forest. Take a walk somewhere – can you find signs of spring?

Sledding – weather and snow permitting – Idlewild & St Mary’s School. There is still a small hill beside Pop Price Park (pictured above, across from Bridge Interiors).

Outdoor skating – again weather and ice permitting – Baker Park, Pop Price, Fort Steele or check with City of Cranbrook Leisure Services for indoor skating times.
