Rockies Film Festival & Series’ September presentation is The Penguin Lessons, showing Wednesday, Sept. 24 at Key City Theatre at 7 p.m.

The Penguin Lessons (Rotten Tomatoes 95%) is based on the memoir of the same name by former teacher Tom Michell.

Starring Steve Coogan and Jonathon Price, this delightful movie was inspired by the true story of a disillusioned Tom who went to work in a school in Argentina in 1976.

Expecting an easy ride, Tom discovers a divided nation and a class of unteachable students. However, after he rescues a penguin from an oil-slicked beach, his life is turned upside-down.
