Trailers, campers, RVs need off-street parking
Ensuring safe and accessible streets for both pedestrians and vehicles is why the City of Cranbrook is reminding residents with trailers, campers and RVs to please find parking off-street when these items are not being used.
The City of Cranbrook understands that many residents and visitors own and use these types of trailers every summer. Please be conscious that your campers, RVs and trailers don’t block access to your neighbours driveways or that you do not use on street parking for long periods.
This is one of the largest sources of calls to the city each spring and summer.
The city’s Streets and Traffic Bylaw does not allow the parking of recreational vehicles and trailers on residential streets between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. and prohibits parking unattached trailers on any street unless in an emergency situation. This also applies to travel trailers, tent trailers, utility trailers, campers, motorhomes, along with boats and boats on trailers.
