Each year the Canadian Mental Health Association for the Kootenays hosts and organizes the Volunteer Appreciation & Awards Gala event that provides us with an opportunity to recognize, honour and celebrate all volunteers in our communities. The event consists of a buffet dinner; keynote speakers and volunteer awards presentations.

Volunteer Awards are being presented in four categories: Individual Volunteer of the Year; Volunteer Group of the Year; Youth Volunteer of the Year; Volunteer Family of the Year.

This event is entirely sponsored by our local businesses and organizations that recognize the commitment, dedication and positive impact these volunteers have on our families and community.

Again this year, the Premier Event Sponsor is the local Cranbrook Investors Group.

The Volunteer Gala brings together volunteers from multiple service agencies in our communities.

Organizations participate in this event as a way to pay tribute to their volunteers. Volunteer nomination forms, sponsorships and ticket purchases and are available by contacting Lori @ 250-426-8019 ext. #1.

Canadian Mental Health Association- Kootenays is a multi-service, charitable, non-profit organization delivering services throughout the Kootenays.

The 12th annual Volunteer Appreciation & Awards Gala is Friday, May 26, from 6 – 9 p.m. at the St. Eugene Golf Resort Pavilion (pictured above).
