Water parks reopening July 14 and 17

Kinsmen Spray Park

Tentative plans are in place which will see the reopening of the splash pad in Rotary Park to public use beginning Tuesday, July 14, with the Kinsmen Spray Park reopening to public use by Friday, July 17.

As with all of our outdoor spaces and amenities, the City of Cranbrook has been closely following the guidance shared by the Province of B.C. and the provincial health office through information provided by Interior Health to make our spaces as safe as possible.

It is important that anyone using any of our spaces to remember to continue to practice proper physical distancing and carry your own hand sanitizer or wipes when using any public facilities. Like our playgrounds, these areas will have lots of contact points and are not cleaned or sanitized, so having your own sanitizer with you and using it regularly is strongly recommended.

Washroom facilities at Rotary Park are currently open daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., but are only cleaned once to twice per day.

Just because many of our outdoor spaces and amenities are already accessible, it does not mean things are back to normal when it comes to COVID-19.

It is important that everyone continue to maintain proper physical distancing and wear masks when that distancing may not be possible. You should continue to keep your circle small, wash your hands regularly and bring hand sanitizer with you when you are out. Stay home if you are sick and please be patient with other users around you.
