Wayne Price commits to run for mayor
City of Cranbrook Councillor Wayne Price has announced he intends to run for mayor in the upcoming (October 15) municipal election.
Price’s announcement came on the heels of Mayor Lee Pratt announcing March 28 that he will seek a third term.
“Subsequent to Mayor Pratt’s early announcement of his intention to run for re-election in the next municipal election, I am confirming my intention to run for the position of Mayor as well,” Price stated.
“I sought a position on council in the last election with the hope of contributing to much needed change that was required at City Hall, and to gain council experience during this period.
“Although significant changes and improvement has occurred over the past three years, I feel there is still much-needed change required, and I believe I can best contribute and make a difference serving as Mayor,” Price said.
