There was some trepidation the heavens may open up before or during Sam Steele Days’ St. Eugene Grand Parade Saturday, June 18.

Turns out, the heavens did open up – but with sunshine – a fitting thing considering the abundant smiles, grins, laughs and shouts from parade participants and the thousands of onlookers who lined downtown Cranbrook.

Rotary International’s 100^th anniversary was the central theme to this year’s parade, with Cranbrook’s Rotary Club and Sunrise Rotary Clubs out in full regalia.
