The Community Connections Society of Southeast BC (CCS) is alerting Cranbrook and area residents of a scam targeting seniors.

“We do not ask for funds via text. There is a scam targeting seniors, asking them to pay their “CCS Bill.” If you receive a text like this, do not click the link or respond to the message. Flag the sender as spam or fraud,” CCS advised on social media.

“Please reach out if you have any questions regarding this scam or the validity of any other message you receive claiming to be Community Connections.”
