Climate impacts and preparedness workshop for tourism operators

Join with Columbia Basin climate change professionals, Ingrid Liepa and Mel Reasoner, for a workshop on climate impacts and preparedness for tourism operators in the Kootenay Rockies region on April 6.

The presentation will include:

  • an introduction to climate changes in the region with a focus on tourism;
  • an overview of the range of impacts that tourism stakeholders can expect;
  • understanding of climate risks, trends and how tourism businesses can prepare and adapt;
  • key climate preparedness and adaptation resources relevant to tourism businesses.

To add some fun – A draw will be held with workshop attendees for two Kootenay Rockies Swag Bags filled with a variety of items from water bottle & coffee mug to sling pack and beanie!
