The East Kootenay FireSmart Program saw substantial growth this year with the addition of several FireSmart Champions and associated neighbourhoods.

We want to thank all residents who took the time to learn more about the program, whether it was through a chat with us at a market, sitting and listening to an educational presentation, organizing an event in your area, or signing up to take on the role of Neighbourhood Champion, your efforts are making the region more wildfire resilient with each step.
