Felon should not be allowed in country

Has he even asked for permission?

Starting June 15, Canada is hosting (presidency) the G7 Leaders’ Summit at Kananaskis, Alberta, just across the Rockies from the East Kootenay.

New Prime Minister Mark Carney will be chair of a gathering consisting of leaders from the European Union, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, U.K. and U.S., with India’s Narendra Modi and Ukraine’s Volodymyr Zelenskyy also expected to attend. Mucky muck central until June 17.

While the invitation to Modi is souring, considering his government’s messing about with Canadian politics and possibly being involved in murderous plots and assassinations, there is a hu-uge orange elephant in the room in the form of American representation at the summit.

President Donald J. Trump, currently misusing and abusing American people as a tool in his surrealistically endless vendettas, used as distractions in order to continue to sack that once proud and noble nation, will be front and centre in Kananaskis and I call bullshit on that.

Convicted on 34 charges of falsifying business records on March 30, 2023 and sentenced with unconditional discharge on January 10, 2025, buddy is a felon. Felons are not allowed in Canada unless they apply for special permission, which is not guarantee of entry.

So, if the letter of the law is to be followed, and by God it always should be or our nation crumbles into chaos and rampage, then Trump should not be eligible or allowed into the country. Period.

There is a price to be paid for being a criminal, even if one is not behind bars and the law is the law. Trump can flaunt American law six ways to Sunday and continue to slither from the grasp the no-longer blind Lady Liberty, but he ain’t nothing but a blowhard, silver-spoon-fed con artist and his shtick don’t fly north of the 49th.

We appeal to Prime Minister Carney to not set a precedent of allowing American criminals into our country and bar Donald Trump from entry, unless he applies for special permission.

Just as Trump and his glazed-eyed minions scream for a major staunch to their southern border, freaking out about masses of ‘rapists and murderers’ trudging into the nation to ‘steal’ poor paying service jobs Americans refuse to take, we Canadians must unite and be strong at our border.

You allow one criminal in to attend a presser meeting, you open the flood gates to all sorts of riff raff, right?

Please do the right thing Mr. Carney.
