Community Foundation of Kootenay Rockies (CFKR’s) Cranbrook Past & Present Teachers’ Legacy Fund celebrates another year of giving, with the 2026 grant designated to the School District No. 5 Southeast Kootenay (SD5) Resource Centre to purchase engaging and colourful picture books for literacy development.

Each year, the Cranbrook District Teachers’ Association and the Cranbrook Retired Teachers’ Association work together to make a granting recommendation to the CFKR Board.

A huge thank you to the Cranbrook teaching community for continuing to grow this fund, which supports student success and wellness in Cranbrook’s public schools, recognizing, in perpetuity, the dedication and lasting positive impact of teachers in Cranbrook.
