Fernie Search and Rescue (SAR) was activated for the second time Jan. 18 to search for some missing split-boarders.

A young couple from Kimberley was reported missing by concerned family members and Fernie SAR began a search for them at 7:45 p.m. on Saturday. They were located around 10 p.m. at km 40 on the Lodgepole Road, where their vehicle had gone off the road on the way home, Fernie SAR reported on social media.

The couple was delivered back to Fernie safe and sound.
