RCMP looking for high-speed driver
On Saturday, August 12, at about 1:02 a.m., a member of the RCMP’s East Kootenay Traffic Services observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed, descending the three-lane roadway on Highway 3/93 east of Eager Hill Road.
The driver of the eastbound truck failed to stop for police, reaching speeds of 180 km/h.
Focused on public safety the RCMP traffic member did not pursue the suspect vehicle.
East Kootenay Traffic Services is currently investigating and request any information the public can offer regarding this offence.
