RDEK Board leadership staying the same for 2020

The Regional District of East Kootenay (RDEK) Board of Directors will maintain the same leadership for 2020.

The board this morning re-elected Electoral Area C Director Rob Gay as Board Chair and Village of Radium Hot Springs Mayor Clara Reinhardt as Vice-Chair.

No other names were nominated for the executive positions and they were both acclaimed.

This will be the Gay’s ninth term as RDEK Chair. He has served on the board since 2005.

“I’d like to thank my fellow Directors for their ongoing support. It is an honour to serve as Chair of this organization and I look forward to another rewarding year,” said Gay.

Village of Radium Hot Springs Mayor Clara Reinhardt was elected Vice-Chair for her second term.

“I have thoroughly enjoyed filling the role of Vice Chair over the past year, and am excited to continue to work with Chair Gay and the rest of the Board in this capacity in 2020,” she said.
