Reading for reconciliation

The Ktunaxa Nation Council calls upon all Canadians to learn the history of the residential school system in this country, and what this system was designed to do.

In support of this, the Cranbrook Public Library will be giving away free books about residential schools between Saturday, September 25 through to Wednesday, September 29.

The library also invites the community to place an orange ribbon (provided) in the library, as a way to honour the residential school victims, their families, and survivors. We have 100 books to give away both for children and adults.

Grab a free book and place an orange ribbon from September 25 until September 29.

The library will be closed on September 30 to observe the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.
