Songwriting competition open for entries

The Canadian Songwriting Competition is officially open for entries.

Alan Doyle, formerly of Great Big Sea.

The second annual national songwriting competition will be bigger and better than before. The cash component of the grand prize is now $10,000, and there are over $40,000 worth of prizes up for grabs.

The contest is open to all songwriters (amateur and professional) who are Canadian citizens or who reside in Canada.

We are also thrilled to welcome some of our favourite Canadian artists to our esteemed judging panel. Judges include Sam Roberts, Joel Plaskett, Cadence Weapon and Alan Doyle, as well as industry leaders in A&R, booking, festival programming, publishing, and radio.

The CSC is thrilled to partner with SickKids Foundation to help raise funds in support of in-hospital music programming at Marnie’s Studio. Learn more about Marnie’s Studio HERE.

Please visit their website to learn more about prizes, judges, rules and how to enter online. www.songwritingcanada.com. Contestants who enter by October 31 will receive discounted ‘early bird’ pricing.
