Spring in the East Kootenay

We had a fairly mellow spring in the East Kootenay.

Enough rain to green things up, a few bouts of heat and some early fire frights that hopefully served to remind folks to lay off with the farting about with fire thing this year, and an unwelcome flump of snow in Elkford and area last week highlighted the season.

Adding to our ability to gather images of the region was the purchase of a SUV, along with a long-awaited Nikon replacement (thanks Chris!) in the last few months.

This photo collection features the following areas/locales: Akisqnuk; Bull Wardner (Norbury) area; Coal Creek; Columbia Valley; Cranbrook; Elkford; Elk Valley; Fernie; Hosmer; Invermere; Kimberley; Sparwood; Wycliffe.
