Letter to the Editor

Please give Mr. (Nowell) Berg a hearty pat on the back for his piece ‘The Ponderosa: A Wasa Story,’ published Oct. 11 in e-KNOW.

I enjoyed every word of it.  I love those big trees and am a self-admitted tree hugger. I mean I really do hug them, to the amusement of my friends who consider me a bit of a redneck. However, I never considered them in the way Berg tells that great story.

What a great way to educate people about our local history and also appreciate these majestic icons of our landscape at Wasa.

Thank you for helping us view these trees from a different and interesting perspective. He has certainly done that for me!
