Three new fires in region

BC Wildfire Service is today reporting three new wildfires in the East Kootenay.

There is a lightning-caused fire near Ranger Lake, about 40 km south of Cranbrook. The fire is approximately .6 hectares.

There is another fire at Raymond Creek, about eight km north of Grasmere. The lightning-caused fire, east of Highway 93, is about .01 ha.

And the third new lightning-ignited fire is at Stocking Mountain, two km north of Cross River, about 27 km east of Radium Hot Springs. That fire is about .01 ha.
