Traffic moving again on Highway 3
Delays up to six hours at Kootenay Bay ferry terminal
Traffic is once again moving on Highway 3 through Kootenay Pass (pictured right), though it is moving slowly.
DriveBC reports that the highway is open to single lane alternating traffic 30 km west of Creston due to a mudslide.
Drivers can expect up to 20 minute delays as clean up remains in progress.
Because of the pass closure, and a coinciding ferry service āinterruptionā the line ups at the Kootenay Bay ferry terminal have been described as āepicā among other things.
However, BC Ferries reports there are no sailing waits at the Balfour terminal, though Kootenay Bay terminal is currently experiencing a six hour delay and long lines.
The Osprey 2000 will continue service until all queues have been cleared.
