As an amazingly successful major fundraising campaign comes to an end, East Kootenay Foundation for Health (EKFH) is also saying goodbye to Executive Director Cassandra Schwarz.

“I greatly enjoyed my time at EKFH. It was an amazing experience and I can’t thank everyone enough for welcoming me to the community,” shared Schwarz, who is leaving for a new position as Development Manager with the Canadian Mental Health Association in Vernon. “It was truly inspiring to witness the generosity of the entire East Kootenay communities for the MRI: An Image of Health campaign.”

EKFH Chair Wes Rogers reports that board has begun the search for Schwarz’s replacement. The process is anticipated to take several weeks; however, in the interim the Board has asked for transition assistance from former Executive Director Donna Grainger who retired last April.

Work at EKFH continues as the regional hospital foundation begins its strategic plans through the transition.
