Elkford ready to finally celebrate its 50th Anniversary
Elkford’s belated 50th Anniversary and Wildcat Days is coming up, and it’s going to be bigger and better than ever before.
Originally incorporated as the Village of Elkford on July 16, 1971, the District of Elkford’s 50th anniversary would have been in 2021. Unfortunately, because of the COVID-19 pandemic, we were unable to hold celebrations in 2020 or 2021 due to the provincial health orders and restrictions for gatherings and events in place at that time.
With restrictions lifted, it’s finally time to get together and celebrate!
This Canada Day long weekend, get ready for an epic celebration that will run from July 1 to 3 and will offer family-friendly entertainment for all ages.
Stay tuned for contest announcements and look forward to fireworks, a parade, a dignitary luncheon, beer gardens and an outdoor music festival, a family ball tournament, a show n’ shine, a grass smash volleyball tournament, a pancake breakfast, fire trucks, a Devonian concession, an art show, a silent auction, food trucks, a craft fair, gold panning—and so much more!
