The District of Elkford is looking for a community youth to join the Youth Council.

Are you between the ages of 12 and 18 years of age and involved in the community or would like to be? Do you care about what is or isn’t going on? Then you might be what we are looking for.
Requirements

Attend regular Youth Council meetings;

Attend bi-weekly District Council Regular and Committee of the Whole meetings (first and third Monday of every month);

Review District Council agenda prior to the meeting;

Provide comments and recommendations to District Council on agenda items;

Report to District Council on youth activities and advocate concerns for the youth;

Must have your own transportation to and from meetings;

Must have access to email and check the Youth mailbox at the District of Elkford Municipal Office once a week;

An alternate will need to be appointed to attend when you are unable.
Desired qualities: Reliable; Dependable; Good organization skills; Strong leadership skills; Well spoken.
