Steve Fairbairn is Elkford’s new mayor
Steve Fairbairn is the District of Elkford’s new mayor.
Fairbairn captured a convincing 518 votes compared to challenger Mandy McGregor’s 183 votes. Both were members of outgoing Mayor Dean McKerracher’s last council.
Elkford will also feature four new council members following today’s election.
Shawna Bryant captured the most votes (552), ahead of incumbent Duncan McDonald’s 533 votes and newcomer Jason Meldrum (530).
Incumbent Len Gostick (516) and newcomers Tathlina Lovlin (410) and Bert Schalekamp (387) round out the new council.
