The District of Elkford has issued a quick heads-up that starting next week, Union Road will be closed for the Union Road Watermain Looping Project.

This closure will remain in place until approximately the end of October (or until construction is completed).

This project is an upgrade to the water system that will improve flow to fire hydrants and allow water to access the area in two directions, reducing the need for water interruptions to nearby properties in the event of an emergency.

We ask that all drivers keep vehicles out of the construction zone and that pedestrians use alternate routes for their safety.

Drivers and patrons of businesses and facilities on Water Street and Front Street will need to use Camp Road (next to Riverview Park) for access during this time.
