Expected delays on Highway 3 near Elko Feb. 3
Mainroad East Kootenay Contracting today issued an alert about another temporary traffic closure on Highway 3 east of Elko on Thursday, February 3, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
“Please be advised that rock drilling activities are ongoing on Highway 3, approximately 4.5km east of Elko. Motorists can except delays due to the drilling activities for the production of rock for repair of flood sites in the Elk Valley,” Mainroad stated.
A series of planned 25 minutes closures is expected. These closures will happen every hour on the hour between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.
Please obey all postage signage and traffic control personnel.
A full highway closure will be in effect for approximately one hour.
