The City of Fernie is proud to announce that we’ve awarded $8,000 through our 2026 Discretionary Grants Program to five community organizations that provide beneficial programs, services and projects within our community.

In 2026, funds will support:

• Cycling Without Age Fernie Foundation – to support the annual cost of insurance.
• Elk River Watershed Alliance – for the development of an education program for youth in Fernie.
• Elk Valley Rugby Football Club – to support the annual Rucking in the Rockies rugby festival.
• Fernie Elks Lodge #81 – to help renovate the hall washrooms.
• Ghostrider Adventure Camp Foundation – to allow two children to attend the one-week residential camp at no cost to their family.
