Due to a recent increase in beaver activity, the City of Fernie is attending to a large volume of dangerous trees throughout local parks, roadways and green spaces.

City parks staff are conducting regular patrols of high-impacted areas and are requesting the public’s help to report any hazardous trees resulting from beavers.

If you notice a dangerous tree, please report it by submitting a Request for Service online.

The city is working on a long-term plan to manage the situation, and thanks our local community for enabling staff to respond to hazards promptly.
