City of Fernie celebrates Pride Festival
The City of Fernie is excited to support and partake in the Elk Valley Pride Festival. The city understands the importance of inclusion, diversity and acceptance in our community and we are proud to take part in this event in Fernie.
City Hall will be decorated on Tuesday, October 9 in pride colours to highlight our commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive city.
“The City of Fernie is known for its diversity and uniqueness. We want to ensure that all people feel included and welcome in our community and hope people feel supported in celebrating their identities, backgrounds, and cultures in Fernie,” stated chief administrative officer Norm McInnis.
The city looks forward to continuing to partner with groups to celebrate the diverse and vibrant community we live in and thank the Elk Valley Pride Festival for celebrating this initiative in Fernie.
The Elk Valley Pride Festival runs Oct. 9-14 in Fernie.
