The City of Fernie is expanding its curbside garbage and recycling program to include organic waste.

Starting August 19, residents can expect the new organics carts and kitchen catcher bins delivered to their homes.

All residents who currently receive curbside collection will receive weekly pickup of organic waste beginning September 23.

With the cart delivery, you will receive a guidebook with important information on the new program, including the new collection calendar and a list of what is accepted in the new bins.
