Fernie Search and Rescue (SAR) was called out Saturday afternoon (Oct. 16) to respond to an injured mountain biker on 48 Hours Trail, located south of Fernie.

SAR reported on social media the biker was extracted via helicopter longline, having sustained significant internal injuries and handed over to BC Ambulance Service.
