Fernie seeks feedback on proposed OCP changes
The City of Fernie is seeking community feedback on proposed changes to the Official Community Plan (OCP) to support the Fire Hall project.
To move ahead with building the new Fernie Fire Hall at 1500–5th Avenue (a portion of Prentice Park), the OCP must be amended to change the designation of the selected site from “Park” to “Institutional,” and to add ‘Fernie Fire Hall’ as a key use under ‘Institutional.’
As part of the required early consultation process, they city is asking residents to review the proposed change and share their comments through a brief feedback form.

The input opportunity closes on November 24.
