Festival and event funding deadline May 4
Applications are still being accepted by the City of Fernie through the Resort Municipality Initiative (RMI) Festival & Event Development Program for limited funding available to assist community organizations with the cost of developing and hosting festivals and events this summer/fall that impact tourism.
Applicants need to be able to demonstrate financial need and that the proposed festival or event will have a positive impact on the Fernie and area tourism economy.
The RMI Festival & Event Development Program guidelines and application form are available here, and can also be picked up in hard copy at City Hall.
The deadline for submission of completed application forms requesting funding for the 2018 summer/fall season is Friday, May 4.
Applications must be received at least two weeks prior to the date the event will be held.
