Lemonade Stand Off June 8
It’s time again for the Fernie Heritage Library’s annual year-end Lemonade Social. This year we would like to invite kids and parents, families or friends to join in the Lemonade Stand – Off. Here is how it works.
1. Register your lemonade stand with Anie by emailing [email protected] . Please provide me with your name, team member’s name (s) and a contact phone number;
2. Choose an original ingredient to make your lemonade unique. Some examples include: mint, ginger, other types of juices, berries etc.;
3. Create Signage for your Lemonade Stand;
4. Make enough lemonade so that everyone that comes can try a small half-cup sample. We recommend you make enough for two to three pitchers of your lemonade.
Now it’s time to let the people of Fernie decide what is their favourite lemonade! Each person who arrives, receives three tickets. After sampling all the lemonade, guests choose their three favourites and put a ticket into that lemonade stands voting jar located at each lemonade stand. The stands with the most tickets win! (Lemonade vendors cannot vote for their own stand.)
There is limited space in our library garden for tables to be set up : registration will be first come-first served basis. We encourage each lemonade stand to have a team of two or three people working together to make it more fun. Teams can be made up of friends, parents and children. One team member must be at least nine-years-old or over.
Please note-you will not be able to sell your lemonade, as this event is offered free to the public.
We hope you can join us for this fun event! This year we have changed the time of the event so that there is a little more time for set up as well as a BBQ with hotdogs from 4:30-5:30 p.m. served up by volunteer members of the library board.
What to Bring:
2-3 pitchers of your original Lemonade
A small table for set up
Signs and decorations for your table
A chair to sit on (optional)
Table cloth (optional)
Cooler with ice to hold your lemonade
The library will provide cups, napkins, tickets for vote as well as voting jars and prizes for the top three stands. If you have any further questions, please direct them to Anie at the above email address.
