On October 12, five local students had the chance to join the City of Fernie’s firefighting team and be a ‘Fire Chief for the Day.”’

This special event marked the conclusion of the four-week ‘Learn Not to Burn’ program taken by all Grade 3 students.

A big thanks to everyone who made this day possible including Mayor Milligan, Chief Morgan, and the local McDonalds and Dairy Queen.
