Crews are onsite commencing construction of the Mountview Dike Extension, with work scheduled to be completed by October.

There are currently no planned road closures, but expect to see an increase in construction traffic entering and exiting the site on Mt. McLean. Please follow all posted signage and use caution in the area, the City of Fernie urges.

The goal of this grant-funded project is to improve flood resiliency in the Mountview neighbourhood by extending the existing dike to provide better protection to properties in this area.
