New Executive Director appointed to Fernie Museum
Following an extensive recruitment process, the Fernie & District Historical Society is delighted to announce the appointment of a new Executive Director for the Fernie Museum, Mr. Jim Takenaka, who will start Monday, April 25.
Mr Takenaka has close ties with the Elk Valley.
“I am very pleased to announce that the Fernie & District Historical Society and the Fernie Museum have hired a new Executive Director,” said Nic Milligan, chair of the FDHS Board of Directors
“Jim Takenaka joins us April 25 from the Reynolds Alberta Museum in Wetaskiwin where he has worked for over 20 years, most recently as the Head of Visitor Services. Please join me in welcoming Jim into his new and important role for the future of Fernie’s heritage.”
