Elk Valley RCMP report officers have located the man wanted in connection to a serious assault that took place outside a bar in downtown Fernie on July 16.

Police were called to the Royal Hotel bar in the early morning hours of July 16 after a male was approached by five other people and then attacked by a person in that group, suffering potentially life-altering injuries.

Elk Valley RCMP last week issued a press release with the wanted man’s photo and today, July 31, the detachment is thanking the public for its assistance in helping locate him.
