City of Fernie residents are advised to expect traffic disruptions on Ridgemont Avenue, while contractors perform sewer remediation work in the gully to the southwest of Ridgemont Avenue.

The work is slated to begin October 2, and is anticipated to be completed in two to three weeks, the City of Fernie reported.

The work is not expected to involve road closures, but will require short traffic disruptions to allow for the movement of equipment and materials. A flag person will be on site to direct traffic.
