Family Programming   

Storytime (Ages 3-5 years)

Tuesdays 11:15-11:45 a.m.

Stories, singing and activities for preschoolers and their caregivers.

Toddlertime (Ages 0-2 years)

Wednesdays and Fridays at 11:15-11:45 a.m.

Singing, simple stories and fingerplays for babies and their caregivers.

NEW: Family Storytime: Saturday, Sept 23, 1-1:30 p.m.

Stories, singing and fun for babies-preschoolers and the whole family too!

Once a month drop-in on the main floor.

Senior Storytime for all ages with seniors and local preschool/ Kindy Children (drop in)

Rocky Mountain Village Serenity Room: Wed, Sept. 13 at 1 p.m.

Trinity Lodge: Wed, Sept. 27 at 1:30 p.m.

Community seniors and children welcome to attend!

Children’s Activities for Grades 1-6  (begins September 12)

Wednesdays  3:45 -5 p.m. Lego Club (ages 7+)

New challenge every week  MUST REGISTER to attend (FULL).

Thursdays 3:45-5 p.m.  Creative Outlet (ages 9+)

Drop In crafts, hands on art and group projects, exploring artists and makers from around the world.

FUN FRIDAY and SUPER SATURDAY Friday, Sept 22 and Saturday, Sept 23 2-3:15 p.m.

“What I did on my Summer Vacation” Slide Show.  Email us five photos of your summer fun (by Wed. Sept 20), then join us for our community slide show with your stories. Drop-in, ages 7+

Tweens and Teens

NEW** Tuesdays 3:45-5 p.m. VolunTeens (ages 12+)

Are you a teen who wants to get involved in your community? Do you have skills to share, or skills you want to be taught? Join us and be the change you want to see in the world. Snack provided, Drop in.

Pizza League Thursday, Sept 21, 6-7 p.m.

Monthly teen drop in (ages 13+) for free pizza and board games. Pizza generously donated by Elk Valley Pizza Shoppe.

Adult Programming

Tea and Talk Book Club: Friday, September 29 at 1:30 p.m.

“Behold the Dreamers” by Imbolo Mbue – Copies of the book are available from the library.

Walkie Talkie Book Club, Kick Off event: Wednesday, Sept 13. 10 a.m.

An outdoor, walking book club on the second Wednesday of the month from 10-11 a.m. We will meet at the library front steps and walk along along the river path and chat as we go.

Knit Clique

Drop-In Knitting, crocheting and any other yarny endeavour every Wednesday at 10 a.m. in the upstairs reference library.

Angie Abdou

Booked Event: Angie Abdou – Thursday, September 14 at 7 p.m.

The new season launches on Thursday, September 14, with Angie Abdou and her new novel ‘In Case I Go,’ and live entertainment from bluegrass band RedGirl.  Everyone welcome.  Suggested donation of $10/person at the door

Writing workshop, Growing a Book From Scratch – Friday, September 15 from 10 – 11:30 a.m.

Are you interested in writing your memoirs, or in creating a book? Do you need tips for writing, editing, designing, publishing, or affirming your creative process?’  Join Lee Reid, Nelson author of Growing Home: The Legacy of Kootenay Elders ( 2017) in a session that will appeal to writers and artists at all stages of their work. All-Ages Programming

Old Time Music Jam and Fishing Stories: (as part of Gillbilly 2017) Saturday, September 30 at 1:30 p.m.

Back by popular demand: old time and bluegrass jam and maybe even a few fish tales. BYI and BYS (Bring Your Instrument and Bring Your Story). All are welcome.
