Winter parking regulations in effect
The City of Fernie would like to remind residents that winter parking regulations are in effect from November 1 to April 15 each year to help facilitate effective snow removal.
The following alternate parking schedule will be enforced during this time period:
| NO PARKING permitted on the
south or east side of a roadway between 4 a.m. – 4 p.m. |
NO PARKING permitted on the
north or west side of a roadway between 4 a.m. – 4 p.m. |
| Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday | Tuesday, Thursday and Saturdays |
Please note: In areas with posted signage the alternative parking schedule does not apply.
These restrictions allow city plows to clear the snow back to the boulevards on alternating days.
Any vehicle parked contrary to the regulation or posted signage is subject to ticketing or towing and vehicle impoundment.
