Former City of Fernie Mayor, councillor and Regional District of East Kootenay board director Randal Macnair has announced his intention to seek the Kootenay East NDP candidate nomination for the 2017 provincial election.

“This sunny Monday in June is a good time to jump back into politics. I am seeking the NDP nomination for Kootenay East as of today. First on the agenda is connecting with people and building a strong membership in preparation for the election next spring. Let me know if you would like to help, become a member or get involved in any way!” Macnair announced on Facebook this afternoon (June 20).
